Bio:
Helen Hopcroft is an artist, performer and writer. She holds a Masters degree in Painting from London’s Royal College of Art, and a Creative Writing PhD from the University of Newcastle. Hopcroft’s publication list includes the Griffith Review, The Australian, Sydney Morning Herald, Art Monthly and ArtsHub.com. She recently spent a year dressed as Marie Antoinette, 24/7, for a piece of performance art titled My Year as a Fairy Tale.

Hosted at The Royal Exchange, Mad Bitches Inc. is an all female cabaret show with a generous helping of wild performance poetry and cutting edge theatre. Curated by Helen Hopcroft, who once spent a year dressed as Marie Antoinette, Mad Bitches Inc stars some of the most talented bunny boilers around: cabaret artist Sophie Cook, actor Lou Chapman, Christina Robberds, Simona Graham, Sally Denmead, Camille Adams, Nina Katzmarski and Brooke King, with Dusseldorf-based playwright and director Fiona Leonard. Audiences are left wanting to start a revolution!
