Made.In.Newcastle Project:

Annemarie’s project, titled, Your Story of Place Matters considered and explored one’s personal experience of place and what it means to belong through a process of visual storytelling. Over a 4 week period, Annemarie presented her ideas and layered approach to visualising place through experimental drawing and painting.

She hosted a floor talk at the Yoga for All to discuss how to participate in the project and demonstrated her use of materials and methods in making.

All participants were invited to retell their story of place and belonging in the shape of a poem, song, word or quote. All literature presented for response was anonymous and coded with an initial.

The project came to completion on Thursday April 1. All works of art were exhibited through an online exhibition and were sold through a ‘pay what you can’ donation.
